Profile

Memecik is one of Turkey's most important oil varieties, grown along the Aegean coast around Aydın and Muğla in a country that ranks among the world's largest olive producers. Its oil is aromatic and well-built: green almond and artichoke with surprising tropical-fruit and green-apple notes, a firm bitterness and a peppery finish, and good polyphenols. Turkish single-origin Memecik oils are increasingly winning recognition on the international stage.
